My Writing Blog
I’ve just wrapped up the six‑month Write Your Novel course at the Australian Writers Centre, and honestly, it was one of the most energising learning experiences I’ve had. I’ve taken a lot of their courses, Creative Writing, Fantasy, History/Mystery/Magic, Novel Essentials and quite a few others. Each one has given me something new to work with. I joke that I’m addicted, but the truth is that every course has helped me grow.
I’m now onto the fourth draft of my fantasy novel, armed with thoughtful feedback from my tutor and classmates. And because I’m clearly incapable of stopping, I’m already booked into Edit Your Novel in October.
I’ve completed writing units at university before, but I’ve learnt far more through these focused, practical craft courses.
Maybe one day I will be a published author.
